Ethical & Just-In-Time Manufacturing

Making strides to a circular fashion model means that we work smarter. That’s why in late 2020 we adopted a Just-In-Time manufacturing philosophy. It just made sense.

MADE HERE

Our production process takes place entirely in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, without any offshoring or outsourcing of sewing labor.

Anne, our founder, takes pride in owning our 100% vertical cut & sew textile manufacturer.

The ownership of the manufacturer allows us to deliver top-quality products to you our top-quality customers while creating jobs that support our local economy.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Instead, we create small batches that are tailored to meet individual orders. As a completely vertical company, we are capable of providing a high degree of customization. We maintain minimal inventory and do not have large warehouses filled with unsold clothing that ultimately ends up in landfills.

We only produce garments that are necessary, ensuring that we minimize storage expenses and gain a better comprehension of our supply chain. This approach to manufacturing also fosters stronger relationships with both our suppliers and customers, often referred to as"slow fashion".

At the core of our values are inclusivity, justice, and honesty. We strongly believe that jobs ought to empower communities, rather than oppress them.

To achieve this, we collaborate with Fair Trade Certified factories that offer secure working conditions, fair wages, and an eco-friendly atmosphere that is gentle to our planet and our employees.

Our clothing is entirely produced in our Winnipeg factory, where skilled dressmakers and seamstresses create each item

We are Indigenous-owned and Richly Inspired.

Anne Mulaire is located in Treaty 1 territory, the ancestral and traditional homeland of the Anishinaabe peoples. We acknowledge and value that we live and work in the territories of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Dakota, Dene, Metis, and Oji-Cree Nations.

Richly inspired by Anne Mulaire’s Anishinaabe/French Métis héritage, our prints are handcrafted by our Indigenous Métis Elder, David Albert, Andréanne’s father. Read more about his work and the story behind our one-of-a-kind prints.
